0.1 works on my T|X where 0.2 does not. It crashed after assigning keys. 0.1's quit function does not seem to work at all, and jumping is not really at its best.
I really love this work you are doing, i've always wanted Jazz Jackrabbit on my Palm. If you are not to bored, maybe you can bring MSX games to the Palm platform too? (Kings of Valley 2 is a great game on MSX 2).
You are doing a great job! Can't wait for newer releases that have better jump and sound abilities:)

0.1's quit function is supposed to not work, hehe. ;D Jumping is also not very good but that's a bug in the original OpenJazz code I think. Also, I didn't "bring Jazz Jackrabbit to the Palm" in the full meaning, well, I just ported an interpreter written by someone else (of course, essentially that means the same thing ) And that's why I can't "bring MSX games to the Palm platform too". You can't just get an executable and port it, you need source code... or in the case of Jazz, a reverse-engineered interpreter (something I'm really not in the mood to write for most games, especially ones I never played .

Ah well, can't hurt to try. And if you didn't port the interpreter there would be no Jazz Jackrabbit on my Palm Anyway, hope to see a new version soon and keep up the good work

I'm a little confused how to get Jazz running on my Palm TX and could use some help :-)
I installed the PRC on my Palm TX. I launched the game and was able to assign the keys. After the last key was assigned, the TX reset.
I'm not sure what was meant by installing the original files in /PALM/Programs/OpenJazz, but if I understood correctly, I was supposed to install the original files from my Windows Version of Jazz into that folder. I copied the CONTENTS (not the folder itself) of C:\Program Files\Jazz2 into the \PALM\Programs\OpenJazz folder on my SD card. Still, got the same crash.
What am I doing wrong? Is OpenJazz compatible with Jazz2 or just the original Jazz? Did I do the right thing by copying the CONTENTS of the Jazz2 folder rather than the folder itself?
Any help is greatly appreciated!

It does not work with Jazz 2 as far as i know (bummer! ) But i have the same problem anyhoo with my Jazz shareware (so not version 2). T|X has the PRC, card has the game in /Palm/Programs/OpenJazz/ and i did not have pie for dinner. Launch game, assign keys and after last one errrr. crash! Well, on 0.2 at least.

You did the right thing by copying the files, and not the folder. However, you copied the wrong files ;-) Jazz1 is quite a bit different from Jazz2 sadly.

Hmmm. Bummer. I have a Jazz 1 CD - should I install the game on my PC and then copy the files over as I did before or can I just copy them directly from the CD?
Much thanks,

... of cousre, since v2 of OpenJazz seems to be crashing the TX for everyone, I guess I won't know if what I did is correct or not... :-(

Weird, it seems to crash on NVFS devices. Anyone with a T5 or E2 or LD to try it? Anyone with a non-NVFS device had crashes?
Oh, OpenJazz is compatible with Jazz1 ONLY, and also you need to copy the installed files to the OpenJazz directory.

Well, I had the occasional crash after starting it on my Zire72. But nothing that a soft reset didn`t fix.

If you notice, gp32z.com got a new look and all, so it seems like in the way all the sub-domains got trashed. I'm trying to get in touch with the guy to solve this...
